Creative Allies was contacted by Motionless in White to tap into its 1.4 million plus fans worldwide to engage in a campaign to boost the anticipation of the metal rock band’s upcoming album, Graveyard Shift. We issued the challenge to design the album cover’s artwork that speaks to the band’s unique, dark sound to our community of 129,000 designers. The result was one of the largest contests in Creative Allies history, with the second highest number of fan submitted designs.
Nominated in 2016 for the Most Dedicated Fans, it comes as no surprise that 2,500+ designs were submitted to the Motionless in White album cover contest. While the contest only lasted a month and a half, it quickly garnered over 2 million digital impressions and over 100,000 Facebook responses.
The contest wrapped up with Motionless in White hand selecting a single winner, as well as six honorary mentions. They were so impressed with the winner’s work, she has been hired by Roadrunner Records to create additional work, including creating artwork for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
