How Creative Allies Democratized Design at the Intersection of Music & Art

Greg Lucas, Co-founder of Creative Allies and Executive Director of The Preservation Hall Foundation shares how Creative Allies got its start in the small town of Asheville, North Carolina. He also discuss how the scrappy creative upstart democratized design by brining artists, designers, musicians, and world renowned brands together in the digital world.

“The idea behind Creative Allies was simply to democratize design. What we experienced independently as music professionals in this small town in the Appalachian Mountains was that there was a tremendous amount of creative talent, both on the music side and on the design side, but they weren’t able to find each other. We felt that there was an opportunity, especially around graphic design and art work which could be put up online to be used for social media purposes or for merchandising. There was an opportunity to create a platform for music and art to intersect.” – Greg Lucas
