Creative Allies was tapped by Twenty One Pilots to develop and execute an authentic fan engagement campaign to boost anticipation of the Ohio-based band’s latest album Blurryface. We issued the challenge to design a tour poster as dynamic as the group’s groundbreaking album to our community of 125,000 designers and to Tyler and Josh’s 2.3 million plus fans worldwide. The result was a record breaking number of fan submitted designs, a No. 1 ranking on Billboard 200, and over $1 million in U.S album sales.
This contest sits among our top performing marketing campaigns in Creative Allies history, resulting in 94 million digital impressions, 2,696 total designs, and 7,500 Facebook posts. Twenty One Pilots wrapped things up by hand selecting 10 regional winners to coordinate with their upcoming tour locations, and one outstanding grand prize winner.
